Working Mom Turned Stay-At-Home Mom Boss

Hey YOU! I’m Sharonda Jackson, an Early Interventionist turned Stay At Home Mom Boss after finding out my husband and I were expecting the surprise of our lives in 2021 – TWINS! My family quickly grew from four to six in less than three years. Since it was always my passion to be a stay at home mom and homeschool my children full-time, God pushed our plans much quicker than expected….

In 2020, right around the time of Covid, the agency I worked for temporarily moved to virtual services, but I wanted a change! Although I loved working with children and families, I wanted to be my own boss.

So, I started my own business as a Social Media Manager. I researched, studied, and invested in courses on how to become my own boss while managing my four kids (at the time). This was all while my husband worked long days and even weekends. But, It didn’t take long for my business to take off!

My calendar was full. I was maxed out with clients and extremely happy! But, later in 2020, we found out about our twins.

Unfortunately, I knew this was going to be a tough pregnancy since I’ve always suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. So, I had to take a break. Ultimately, that meant by business was going to suffer. And it did! I lost most of my clients, and my calendar became full of OB appointments!

My motto (and many other business owners) at the end of 2020 was “Pivot!” Ha! I got a taste of that! Not the pivot I was thinking, but I became thankful, nonetheless.

Although I lost most of my clients, I didn’t stop! This business was my passion, and I kept pushing despite being SUPER sick. God allowed me to build it from scratch, and I still have my business (Coffee to Create) today. A motto that never fails: “Don’t give up!”

You can’t control life’s circumstances – as hard it is to understand sometimes. But you can overcome and push past setbacks. My growing family pushed me back for awhile, but now I’m pressing harder and stronger.

So, here I am today – a boss mom to six.

Six very different children with their own personalities, ranging in ages from 17 to one!

I hear it a lot, “I don’t know how you do it!”, “Your hands are full!,” “There’s no way I could handle twins!,” etc. etc…It’s all fine. I take those comments lightly, because I love them, and I’m truly blessed. (Most of them don’t know I also have my own business, either. Hee-Hee!)

The best part of it all is getting to help you. Yes, I know how hard it is to manage all the things motherhood.

It’s all a work in progress, but you can make it happen – even if you have your own setbacks.

I want to show you how just another chaos coordinator can manage a large family, homeschool, and run a business!

Even if you don’t have a large family, maybe you can find something useful on my page. I hope you enjoy my insight – whether funny or encouraging. Just know we’re all in this mom thang together!

Love, XoXo
